GKP "ARGYMAK EQUESTRIAN SPORTS HEALTH COMPLEX"

The state Municipal state-owned enterprise "Argymak Equestrian and Sports Recreation Complex" of the Akimat of Astana is a legal entity in the organizational and legal form of a state enterprise on the right of operational management. The founder is the Akimat of Astana city.

The rights of the subject of the right of state (communal) ownership in relation to property are exercised by the Akimat of Astana city.

The body managing the Enterprise is the State Institution “Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the City of Astana” (authorized body).

The company operates in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

SOCIAL IMPORTANCE: The complex will have important social significance, as it will allow the implementation of several functions at once:

• popularization of equestrian sport in general;
• development of children's sports;
• rehabilitation of people with disabilities;
• improvement of population;
• promoting the development of agriculture;
• preserving national traditions, maintaining cultural connections between generations;
• organization of adult and children's leisure.

TASKS: Physical education and recreational activities involving the population in systematic physical education and sports;
❖ Organization and holding of sports competitions, including international ones;
❖ Physical education and health activities for the rehabilitation of people with disabilities;
❖ Сcreating conditions conducive to social adaptation and inclusion of people with disabilities in the sphere of active work;
❖ Organization and conduct of sports and recreational activities, including for people with disabilities using the method of hippotherapy;
❖ Support and development of equestrian sports, including national equestrian sports: kokpar, audaryspak, tenge ilu, kyz kuu, zhamby atu, bayge;
❖ Providing paid services to the population, including horse riding, maintenance and professional care of horses and their training, organizing and conducting joint public sports and entertainment events.

Purpose: Formation of public interest in physical education and sports, healthy lifestyle and health promotion.

Main activities:
1. Rehabilitation of persons with disabilities by hippotherapy.
2. Horse riding training with an instructor (horse riding lessons for children and adults on a paid basis).
3. Equestrian sports club (free equestrian training for children and adults):
National equestrian sports – kokpar, audaryspak, zhamby atu, tenge alu.
Olympic equestrian sports – show jumping, eventing, dressage, para-dressage.

Rehabilitation of persons with disabilities using hippotherapy

Rehabilitation by hippotherapy is carried out in accordance with the standard ST RK 3391-2019 “Services for adaptive equestrian sports and hippotherapy for people with disabilities. There is a license to carry out medical activities and qualified employees. The service covers more than 100 children with disabilities.

The complex provides access for people with limited mobility to all buildings and structures, taking into account regulatory requirements. At the entrance to the building there are ramps with a standard slope of 8%, door openings taking into account the size of wheelchairs, as well as sanitary facilities taking into account accessibility requirements for people with disabilities. 

EQUESTRIAN SPORTS HEALTH COMPLEX

The complex is located on the outskirts of Astana, 15-20 minutes drive from the city center. This location is very convenient due to its privacy, which is important for the quiet stay of the horses, and it is located near the city, which is also an important accessibility factor for the majority of visitors.

There are spacious, bright stables on the territory, where excellent conditions have been created for keeping horses. One of the riches of “Argymak” is its sports facilities, which make it possible to hold equestrian competitions at any level. Also, the hippotherapy method has no analogues in the country in organizing and conducting sports and recreational activities, including for people with disabilities.

The Argymak complex is the largest multidisciplinary equestrian sports complex in Kazakhstan.

The territory of the equestrian sports complex is 5.4026 hectares

The total territory of the land plot adjacent to and bordering the land plot of the Object is only 47.6425 hectares (including 5.4026 hectares) and consists of 4 polygons:

• landfill 1 - 2.1407 ha (divisible);
• landfill 2 – 1.0472 ha (divisible);
• range 3 – 5.4026 hectares (divisible), an equestrian sports complex is located;
• landfill 4 – 39.0520 ha (divisible).

THE EQUESTRIAN SPORTS HEALTH COMPLEX WAS BUILT ACCORDING TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE INTERNATIONAL EQUESTRIAN FEDERATION (FEI) AND THE REQUIREMENTS OF SNIP RK. WHEN DESIGNING, THE LOCATION OF EXISTING BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES, ROADS, AND UNDERGROUND COMMUNICATIONS WAS CONSIDERED. ACCESS IS PROVIDED FOR SMALL MOBILE GROUPS TO ALL BUILDINGS AND STRUCTURES, TAKEN INTO ACCOUNT OF REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS.

1. Main indoor arena field, height up to 12 meters, 40x80m and pre-manege field 40x40m
2. Tribunes for 600 seats (including 60 seats for people with limited mobility with assistance), referee areas.
3. 2nd floor: VIP area (16 seats) with a lounge; judges' area, press areas with good visibility, administration offices, simultaneous interpreters' premises, conference hall with an interview area (Studio), rest and dining room, bathrooms, technical rooms, etc.
4. Open combat competition field 70x100m with a podium for 1232 people (one-sided, including 120 seats for people with limited mobility with escort) judges, VIP and press area;
5. Stables – 2 pcs. for 40 horses.
6. There is also a lobby with a cloakroom and ticket office, a dining room with 80 seats, bathrooms for spectators, cleaning equipment rooms, coaching rooms, staff rooms, an equipped medical office and doping control rooms, locker rooms for 60 people with bathrooms and showers. , utility and technical rooms, built-in pre-arena stalls for 56 heads equipped with a compartment for washing horses, a room for drying horses, as well as a place for storing ammunition and boxes for collecting doping samples.

MAIN AREAS OF WORK

Block 1 – Treatment and rehabilitation.

Therapeutic horse riding (hippotherapy).

• organization and conduct of sports and recreational activities, including for people with disabilities using the method of hippotherapy;
• creation of conditions conducive to social adaptation and involvement of people with disabilities in the sphere of active work;
• adaptive riding lessons;

Block 2 – Equestrian sports.

Horse riding training for children and adults, organization and holding of sporting events.

• organization and holding of various sporting events, competitions at international and national levels;
• organization of joint events with other equestrian clubs, organizations and public associations, individuals, as well as cooperation with international non-governmental organizations;
• horse riding lessons, sports training for riders;

Block 3 – Organization and holding of mass sports and entertainment events.

• providing paid services to the population in horse riding, organizing children's and family leisure;
• organization of equestrian tourist routes;
• creation and maintenance of the functioning of leisure clubs in equestrian sports;
• organizing and holding mass sports events in order to support and develop national sports: baige, kokpar, audaryspak, tenge ilu, kyz kuu, sadak atu, kusbegilik, togyzkumalak, etc..;
• organization and holding of national equestrian competitions aimed at educating the younger generation of riders, as well as increasing the international authority of domestic equestrian sport;
• organization and holding of mass sports and entertainment events;

Block 4 – Production and economic.

• animal training, racing young horses, special horse training;
• services for keeping horses, organizing veterinary care and transportation to the venue of physical education and sports events, feeding and care;
• production and sale of sports equipment, equipment and ammunition for horses, sports suits;
• creation and maintenance of own pastures and fodder supply, sale of feed;
• production and placement of advertising, propaganda and image work, including promotion of the popularization of equestrian sports through the media;
• services for the distribution and sale of tickets and subscriptions, cooperation with other distributors;

Horse riding lessons with an instructor

Since the beginning of 2024, we have recruited children for horse riding lessons; more than 70 children have been covered by the service

Equestrian sports club

Since 2024, a sports department has been opened to teach national and Olympic equestrian sports:

National equestrian sports – kokpar, audaryspak, zhamby atu, tenge alu.

Olympic equestrian sports – show jumping, eventing, dressage, para-dressage.

Other services

➢ 24 stalls were rented for an amount of more than 7 million tenge.

➢ In 2023, the city akimat held more than 12 events on equestrian sports, in addition, one event with the participation of the Head of State and 5 other events.
